wide selection fresh fruit helpful staff
I appreciated the room upgrade to a Superior Double Room in the Castle. The daily breakfast included a wide selection of pastries and fresh fruit (the croissants were really good!). The staff were very helpful arranging taxis for visits to nearby vineyards.
The minibar prices felt a bit high.

Really good Stay at Historic Hotel
atmospheric building breakfast champagne
The building has an atmospheric presence upon arrival. Breakfast included Champagne, a lovely touch. The brasserie restaurant at the end of the drive was also a treat. I particularly enjoyed the new bathrooms.
I found the reception staff somewhat unfriendly and unhelpful . When I asked questions, I was told the information was in the email. This felt impersonal.

unfriendly reception lack of service
Secure parking was available. I appreciated this since i had a lot of luggage in the car.
i found the reception staff to be quite unfriendly. when i asked for assistance with the wet chairs outside (after a rain shower), the male receptionist suggested i sit elsewhere instead. this was a disappointing lack of service for the price i paid.
