wonderful stay near glacier lagoon

delicious food fantastic hot tubs accommodating staff
i found the restaurant served some of the best food i had during my entire trip. the hotel offered fantastic hot tubs where i spent a lot of time. i requested ice from the bar for a pulled muscle and the staff were very accommodating to my needs. i appreciated the wake up call when the northern lights was from the hotel.
i noticed that the water temperature in the shower did not get very hot. this lukewarm water made showering less enjoyable. i think improvements to the water heating system would be beneficial.
Rooms
9/10
the room was lovely with a comfortable setup and included a fridge and kettle, amenities we found not common in icelandic hotels.
Dining
10/10
the hotel sold snacks, yoghurt, and skyr in the reception area, giving a convenient option for a quick bite anytime. the bar and restaurant offered really good service and a great atmosphere to the dining experience.

inadequate service missing changing rooms
the service felt lacking for the price i paid. i stayed on the first floor, so i had to walk through the dining area in my robe to get to the spa, as changing rooms were not available there. table service was absent in the bar area, which i found unacceptable at this price point.

an acceptable stay

geothermal baths lovely sauna overpriced bar lukewarm water
the outdoor geothermal baths were lovely. I could view the night sky from them. The sauna afterwards was also a bonus. the robe and slippers were appreciated!
The bar is very overpriced. IT also operates with self-service at the counter. This seemed bizarre to me. I felt the water temperature in the shower was an issue. It never got more than lukewarm.
