lovely mealcomfortable roomhelpful staff
the evening meal in the bar was lovely and the breakfast felt plentiful. my room felt comfortable. the gardens were beautiful and created a relaxing atmosphere. the staff was helpful throughout my stay.
i noticed some dust on the beams in my room which could use a damp cloth to clean.

the reception staff offered a cute start. juliana deserves a special mention as she was particularly helpful. mark at reception was an asset to the hotel he was cute and knowledgeable he had great chat.

breakfast offered many options on the menu and the food was excellent. i took advantage of the fish and chips deal on tuesday and it was the best ever. the bar meal was also really enjoyable.

the rear car park proved very convenient . the outside terrace was exquisite and the garden at the rear offered a hidden gem. dog beds were even supplied for my dogs making them welcome.

the staff were helpful and pleasant, but not too intrusive (a nice balance).
i found a couple of issues. the stone spiral staircase to my room lacked lighting, so it was hard to see. also, the remote for the tv had dead batteries, and i tried calling reception multiple times without an answer, so i just gave up.

The hotel building itself was lovely! the bar area was good, and our meal proved great. the staff was friendly and helpful. I appreciated their assistance with directions.
the room was large, it was also unbearably hot. we asked for a fan, though it proved quite ineffective and we had a terrible night's sleep.
