the building is very WELL managed and kept clean at all times.

i had the misfortune of staying recently, and my experience was not good. during my stay, my laptop was stolen from my room WITHOUT my consent. hotel staff showed a SHOCKING lack of concern and competence in addressing the issue. the response from hotel management was unhelpful.

unexpected chargesslush incident

i was really frustrated with a couple of things. first , there were multiple unexpected charges on my card after i left , each over $100. i called to get a bill summary , because i never received one , but the issue wasn't resolved. also , the valet service dunked my bag in dirty snow before putting it in my trunk , which left slush everywhere , and i found that really annoying.

The room was upgraded and that was a wonderful surprise. housekeeping was really good throughout my stay. the nespresso machine in the room was a nice touch. I made use of it every day. the hotel room included slippers and an umbrella for guest use.

i found that the mattress was too soft. it reminded me of my whole body was sinking into it. i had body soreness the next day and didn't recover for a week. the mattress could use more support.

Breakfast was really delicious, with options. the bar area provided a relaxing space after a long day. It was very inviting. i enjoyed spending time there, unwinding before heading up to my room.

i stayed for several nights. the location was fantastic, very close to shops and restaurants. my room was well appointed with a fireplace. the bathroom had double sinks and a rainwater shower head. it made mornings so easy!!!

i requested a firm pillow that never came. i found this disappointing. also, the gym in the basement seemed like an afterthought.

unfriendly staffinvasive service

i had some problems. i reserved this hotel for a romantic trip. during check in, i got a suite mont-blanc. it wasn't as nice as the grand view i wanted. the suite felt small and didn't have a good layout. also the front desk people weren't friendly, especially the woman who checked me in. the valet put my bag in dirty snow before putting it in my car. it left slush everywhere. they didn't tell me about the nightly turndown service. someone moved my personal items. it felt invasive.

The hotel staff arranged a car, walking me to my ride two blocks away. This thoughtful act was very helpful. The room was fantastic with elegant styling. I felt at home immediately.

I noticed the gym in the basement seemed like an afterthought. The noisy a/c system was a distraction.

a lovely stay!

the room was super spacious and very comfortable i especially enjoyed the double sinks in the bathroom the air conditioning worked wonderfully and it was a huge plus since the weather was hot i also had dessert in the restaurant. the bathroom decoration was amazing the facilities were clean.

the minibar prices were somewhat high i wish there were more affordable options available without leaving the hotel it did not significantly detract from my experience though.

the hotel is near the city center the location made it very convenient for moving around the city many attractions are within walking distance. i found it easy to explore the city from this central spot.

all the staff were friendly i noticed their kindness from the doorman to the concierge and the restaurant staff. they were always ready to help and answered any questions i had i felt welcomed and well-cared for.
