decent hotel with minor drawbacks

beautiful decorationwarm atmospherespacious gardenstreet noiseinconvenient tub
i found the hotel to be beautifully decorated. the spacious garden suites included a heater, heat pump, and electric blankets (a nice touch ). the dinners served in the dining room were nicely cooked and presented.
constant street noise disrupted any attempts at napping during the day. the tub with a curtain around it was hard to get in and out of, it felt dangerous to me.

The room was lovely. The little kitchenette was VERY handy.
The radiator in the bathroom did NOT work. It was cold. I had to ask for an additional heater.

The room decor suited the hotel era. The staff and the restaurant meal were very good.
The room was not plush despite its considerable cost I expected comfort. The radiator did not work so I asked for an additional heater.

Acceptable Stay

nice furnishingsmain streetair conditioninglaundry roomsmall televisionhot water
The room had nice furnishings, and it was clean. The location is on the main street so it is easy to get to local bars and restaurants. The air conditioning unit was a welcome amenity given the summer heat.
My room was next to the laundry room. I heard loud sounds from the washing machine early in the morning. The television was small, and the channel options were limited. There was only enough hot water for one person to shower.
