historic hotel with amazing amenities!

beautiful building expansive garden delicious food
i loved the beautiful building and the expansive gardens! the outdoor spaces are great. the hotel's art gallery and museum make it a true destination. i enjoyed the delicious food at the restaurant and its convenient location for route 66 exploration.
My room lacked curtains, only blinds are installed. This let in direct sunlight early in the morning and made it hard to sleep

Mixed Feelings About This Stay

missing curtains high mirror
The room lacked blackout curtains. This meant I was woken up by the sun very early. The bathroom also had issues. There was a urine smell and the mirror was too high for me to use. I was like the hotel focused more on appearances than practical comfort.

The hotel is beautifully decorated. It features bright southwest colors that I found appealing. I appreciated the soft towels and bedding provided. The hotel also allows pets.
The restaurant seemed to have service issues. The staff was understaffed. The hostess was on her phone. Our meals did not come out as ordered.
