Decent Stay but Some Issues
strong marijuana odor unconcerned staff
The location was adequate, placing me within a reasonable distance of where I needed to be.
Unfortunately, the room smelled strongly of marijuana throughout the night. It was difficult to breathe. Staff acted unconcerned, saying it was a 'Saturday night thing' without offering help and I found that unhelpful. I had to change hotels.

great location and friendly staff!
great location friendly staff well-designed rooms literary theme
i chose this place because of the location and i was not disappointed! the staff welcomed me each day with a friendly hello after my days out, especially panda, who was kind. the rooms are well designed, and a good size too. the literary theme throughout the hotel was something i loved.
The windows seemed really thin. I could hear everything happening outside at all hours, hard to sleep. Earplugs are a good idea.

The staff was always smiling and service oriented. Panda assisted me with printing a package return. the reception offered a welcome drink, a glass of sangria. front desk staff was cute and helpful.

my room was a beautiful queen room, a good size and well-designed with a literary theme. the bed was comfortable. rooms were clean. all amenities in the rooms were great.

there is a bar downstairs, and a coffee shop is attached. i could order coffee to my room. the hotel offered superior service. the hotel is quirky and fun. the atmosphere sets you in the greatest of vibes.

the bar had tasty cocktails, and i had a lovely chat with kristen there. some great diners and places to eat were at each end of the street. the coffee shop attached was superb.

unique art convenient location king room
The beautiful king room was a good size for me. i found books and interesting art throughout the room. the location was great for walking to dining options. I discovered many within minutes.
the lighting in the room felt a bit dim though.

warm welcome unique design good coffee convenient location
the reception team offered a warm welcome and provided great advice on local dining. i appreciated the unique design of the hotel and its well-appointed spaces. the coffee shop was convenient, offering granola and good coffee. i found the location to be safe and lively, near shops and cable cars.
I found the absence of a refrigerator in the room a minor inconvenience. It would have been a useful addition.

the staff was very helpful and responsive. they readily sent a free letter i typed using the retro typewriter. they are always available to assist with any questions or requests i had , which i liked very much.

charming and walkable!
great location cool amenities
the location allowed walking everywhere, really awesome. the room was clean and had cool amenities .
the sink had weak water pressure. also, there was a distinct smell, which could be due to the building's age, that i found a bit off-putting.

the staff was very helpful. they provided assistance with directions and offered suggestions for local restaurants. i felt welcomed and they promptly addressed all my requests like extra towels and information about nearby attractions. their attention made a difference!
