I found the service subpar. The staff looked disengaged, and they didn't seem focused on guest needs. Getting a fried egg during breakfast was impossible even though breakfast service was still ongoing. I felt the coffee from the espresso machine was poorly calibrated, which REALLY impacted my experience.

a LOVELY Hotel Experience

Check-in was easy. My room was in a separate building across the road from the main complex. The room was very nice and neat with a good sized bathroom. Breakfast included a wonderful selection. It definitely reflected the kitchen's reputation for quality.
i had expected more from the shower. the grout between the tiles was slightly discolored.

The hotel sits waterside in a quiet area. It felt off the beaten path, despite its proximity to the local town. The setting provided a very relaxing feeling during my entire stay.

unsafe storageinexperienced staff
I had some issues . The hotel mentioned bike storage was available, but it was actually an unsecured area outside with no way to lock anything. the reception staff seemed pretty new and couldn't really answer my questions. It was frustrating!

I liked the excellent breakfast. It offered a variety of french cheeses, hams, and salmon. Easy parking was available and spacious. The room had a gorgeous view of the river leie.
