excellent stay with very good facilities

I was happy to find a spacious room filled with treats. i really enjoyed the hot shower and the tasty, large meals for dinner and breakfast. the garden was a good space for my son to explore and the beds were really comfy. all staff members were helpful. It was an overall fantastic experience.

the hotel is located conveniently near family. the bed and pillows were lovely. i enjoyed having a drink in the bar next to the log fire after check-in. the breakfast was amazing!!!
The food was slow to be served. the food was a little cool. roast potatoes and pigs in blankets were offered as 'side extras' for a christmas dinner. That was odd.

greasy startercauliflower cheese
The crispy chicken starter was disappointing, the batter separated from the chicken, and it was quite greasy. the beef rib roast looked good but lacked flavor. The meat was gammy (which isn't my preference). the cauliflower cheese side needed more cheese and flavor. It was just moist cauliflower. (i love that dish usually.)
