The pub has a traditional atmosphere and is full of character. The food was excellent. It was freshly cooked to order, and portions were generous (pies have pastry top and bottom). The staff were very friendly and the service was great. I found the location to be lovely.

My room overlooked the bins and an unfinished building site.

A roaring fire welcomed me as I entered the bar. I found it warm and cozy. Everything was super clean, and the views from the inn were sensational (especially when the weather is good).

erratic showerpoor breakfast

The shower temperature was erratic. It alternated between very hot and cold without warning. the view from my window overlooked the bins and waste area, not attractive. breakfast included cheap sausages and frozen hash browns. The toast was made from low-quality bread, really frustrating.

i found an hotel that met expectations regarding warmth and service i appreciate the warm, cozy atmosphere i felt upon arrival the sunday lunch offered ample choices, including beef, pork, lamb, ham, and turkey the homemade yorkshire pudding and pork crackling were nice touches.
