lovely family wedding stay

helpful ladychristmas decorationtasty breakfastloud music
My partner and i stayed for two nights for a family wedding on december 23rd 2024. the lovely lady at reception was very helpful. the hotel was beautifully decorated for christmas and mulled wine was available. breakfast was excellent with good variety. Cereal, fruit, pastries, and tasty cooked options used local produce.
the music was far too loud in the restaurant. we also felt we were a bit of an afterthought since staff were dealing with members of the wedding party.

adequate stay

fresh fruithelpful staffpoor menudining room
the breakfast was perfect. it offered lots of fresh fruit. the cooked breakfast was varied and well prepared. the staff was very friendly and helpful.
the menu was very poor. it was more like a basic pub than a quality restaurant. the dining room lacked atmosphere at all. we were told 2 big tables had been previously booked. so we could not eat at the time we wanted. however no one came in for an hour after we were seated.

The meals were quite nice and I especially liked the breakfast.
The room I was assigned was very noisy since it was located near the staircase , so I heard conversations all night. The shower was not good , and I think it needs to be updated. Also , the television in the room was a smart TV , but I could not use any apps.

The suite contained two bedrooms. Two bathrooms also exist, I think. The breakfast buffet featured hot options. There were varied choices. Staff welcomed me from reception to restaurant. It was a good service.
I found that the music system was far too loud.
